What changed in Merthyr Tydfil
- Rules on this page last checked in full against the official sources listed above.
- Added council pages for Blaenau Gwent and Merthyr Tydfil, so all 22 Welsh councils now have a page. Merthyr Tydfil keeps its 100% second-home council tax premium for 2026/27 (full Council, 11 Feb 2026). Blaenau Gwent's own page says a 100% second-home premium starts from April 2026, but its 2026/27 return to the Welsh Government shows none, so we mark it unverified and suggest checking with the council. Neither has a visitor levy or an Article 4 direction on short lets; WRA registration still applies by 31 Mar 2027. Official source
